Rick Resnick, CEO
Mr. Resnick comes to Nuvel Inc. after almost 25 years and a wide variety of experience and leadership positions at AT&T. Mr. Resnick is known as a skilled and capable leader who places a high premium on disciplined execution and forging lasting client relationships.
At AT&T, Mr. Resnick had the privilege of holding senior-level positions and leading teams across a number of functions. Most recently, Mr. Resnick led AT&T’s National Business Markets. As Senior Vice President of this organization, he led this $3.9 Billion sales segment focusing on selling the full compliment of AT&T’s products and services to mid-sized business customers. In this role, Mr. Resnick led a transformation of the Sales force towards an emphasis on Mobility and sales of emerging products. Prior to that role, he was Senior Vice President of AT&T’s Global Service Management organization which was comprised of over 4,000 service professionals in over 38 countries responsible for the overall Enterprise service experience between AT&T and its largest clients. Mr. Resnick has also had the honor of leading AT&T’s Latin American operations based in Mexico City. Responsible for stewarding AT&T’s investment in America Movil and Telmex, he brought a dynamic expansion to the relationship while significantly growing the overall investment value and portfolio. He has also held a number of senior-level positions leading teams in Operations, Network Management, and Finance during his tenure at AT&T.
Mr. Resnick earned a BA in Economics from the University of California-Irvine and was a member of the Baseball team during his time at UCI. He has been actively involved at leadership levels in a number of educational causes and organizations during his professional career. Mr. Resnick resides in the Bay Area and has two teenage sons.
Jay Elliot, Founder and Author
Most recently, Mr. Elliot was the Founder and Chairman of Migo Software, Inc. a mobility software company. Mr. Elliot also has more than 30 year’s operations’ experience with such corporate giants as IBM, Intel and Apple Computer.
He served as the Senior Vice President of Apple Computer responsible for all corporate operations plus overall corporate business planning reporting directly to Steve Jobs, Chairman of the Board, CEO, and co-founder of Apple. During his tenure at Apple, sales grew from $150 million to more than $3 billion.
After graduating from college, Mr. Elliot joined IBM as a programmer working on the airline reservation system and moved into management in several key projects in the Disk drive development business, and eventually managed the 16,000-employee software division. Mr. Elliot left IBM to join Intel and at Intel was the director of the California operations.
In the healthcare industry, Mr. Elliot was the chief executive officer of New Health Systems, a network technology group connecting physicians and payers to patients and affiliated hospitals. As part of the New Health plan, Mr. Elliot spent one year with the UCLA Medical Center and UCLA Computer Science Department helping to develop a software system for the operation of Tele-medical centers. It was while working with UCLA that Mr. Elliot came up with the idea for Migo.
Randy Hagin, Senior Vice President Sales
Mr. Hagin has an extensive background working with Fortune 500 companies in the areas of sales, technology and strategic partnerships. He has also built premiere worldwide direct and channel sales organizations.
Mr. Hagin has over twenty years of experience in software sales, including key executive sales positions at Connectix (acquired by Microsoft) and Aldus PageMaker (acquired by Adobe). At both Connectix and Aldus he built multi-million dollar sales revenues. He recently worked for both Migo Software where his responsibilities included spearheading the company’s direct and channel sales teams plus international sales spanning Europe, the Pacific Rim, and the Middle East.
He received his BS in Marketing and Finance from Santa Clara University, where he was a California State Scholar.
